Ah, May. The birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and it is finally starting to get warm. It’s been a while since I have posted my monthly agenda on the blog. With the demands of work, and let’s be honest, lousy weather, I spent a couple of months hunkered down indoors (read: I haven’t been up to that much). But with longer, warmer days, comes time to change all that.
Here’s what’s on my agenda this month:
Try: Would you believe that I still have never had a facial? Well, it’s true, my friends. Despite many months of promising to book myself an appointment, it just never came to pass. So, I was thrilled when Skin Bar New York reached out and asked if I would like to come in for a customized cleansing facial. My skin has been looking a lot clearer these days, but I think it would benefit from a little extra TLC. Follow along on my Instagram Stories on Saturday for some behind-the-scenes and look for a review to hit the blog next week!
Take: My endocrinologist recently told me that my vitamin D levels were pretty low. While I can’t say that I was surprised, I quickly learned that there are many different forms of vitamin D. After getting a recommendation from a health coach and doing some research on my own, I ordered a bottle of vitamin D liquid drops from Thorne Research. I’m hoping that increasing my vitamin D levels will eliminate the muscle and joint pain that has been accompanying my workouts—and that it will give me supernatural powers (or, at least, more energy!).
Go: Now that spring has finally sprung, I love seeing everything in bloom. This weekend, Heckscher Park is hosting their 18th annual tulip festival. Featuring more than 20,000 tulips, the festival provides the perfect opportunity for me to break out my Nikon DSLR and practice my photography. Hey, I may even enter the tulip festival photo contest, if I get any good shots!
Do: I’m probably the last person on the planet to take advantage of the great deals offered through Groupon. While I love my boutique fitness classes, I don’t love the hefty price tag that comes with the monthly membership fee. Here’s where Groupon helped me out. They were offering 10 yoga classes with my local studio at a seriously discounted rate. The deal was too good to pass up, so I purchased it. Now, I can get back into yoga and break a sweat on my mat—without sweating over the cost.
What’s on your agenda this month?
Can’t believe you haven’t had a facial either! You will love it. Enjoy the tulip festival. Looking forward to seeing the shots you take. Getting my flowers this weekend. Yay! Happy Friday Vanessa!

Thanks, Kathrine! Hope you had a great weekend!
You should definitely go for the facial. The first (and only) time I had mine was around half a year ago. I got it as a present from my boyfriend and it was one of the most relaxing time of my entire life! Enjoy your facial!
Cheers,
Dorota

You have to try a facial! I have only tried it once but it was one of the best things that I have ever done for myself. It is so relaxing and your skin will thank you afterward!
