Fall Looks: Splurge or Save

When it comes to fall fashion, I must admit that I’m just not ready for it yet. In my mind it is still summer (at least until September 23rd); the sun shines late into the night, the days are warm, and August isn’t over yet. But I know that before long, these days will come to an end; summer dresses will get traded in for long-sleeved shirt dresses, tee shirts will be hidden under oversized cardigans, and my sandals will be replaced by flats. I know that this is the natural progression of the seasons (and fashion!) and that I need to embrace all that comes with the cooler days ahead…like pumpkin lattes, changing leaves, and oh, a fall birthday! The good news is that there are a few trends I’ve spotted that are making the transition a little easier for me. So come September, get set to lace up those ballet flats, grab that bucket bag, and throw on your favorite pair of skinny jeans. But until then, let’s enjoy the last bit of summer and just keep dreaming of fall fashion for a few more weeks.
