{Pumpkins and cookies from Trader Joe’s}
Would you look at that? The first full week of October has already come and gone…and yes, I still have pumpkins on the brain. I’ve spent the past five days recuperating from a cold, so I am eagerly awaiting the weekend and hoping that the weather will be nice. Here are a few things that I have on my agenda this month:
Try: Since Halloween is approaching, I’m looking forward to painting pumpkins. I tried my hand at carving a few years back, and let’s just say it was harder than it looked. I picked up small white pumpkins from Trader Joe’s (aren’t they adorable?) and I plan on decorating them with gold paint.
Do: This month wouldn’t be complete without a little apple picking. I’ve seen tons of mouthwatering recipes that I can’t wait to try — so now I just need the main ingredient. I’m planning to take a day trip out East and stop at the Milk Pail for some fresh apples. There is something about climbing trees and picking apples that just makes you feel like a kid again!
Go: The Long Island Fall Festival is going on this weekend at Heckscher Park in Huntington, NY from October 9th – 12th. There will be lots of fun for the whole family, complete with a carnival, concerts, food, and vendors.
What’s on your agenda this month?
I am obsessed with pumpkins right now too! Love them! Have an amazing weekend!

That sounds like a great idea to paint the white pumpkins with gold glitter, it’ll look so chic and make for a great decoration for a desk or counter. I haven’t been apple picking since I was a little kid on a school trip. My husband and I have been planning on going with my step-daughter soon and I’m really excited about it 🙂
I hope you’re having a fantastic day so far, beauty, and that you have an even better weekend!

I love eating apples in the fall! I’m slightly allergic, but that doesn’t usually stop me from eating them haha!
I’m looking forward to wearing sweaters, as well as Black Friday shopping.

Apple picking sounds so amazing. I am heading back to Germany tomorrow so it looks like there will sadly be no apple picking for me this year but I did manage to go to one of the local farms while here and did the hay ride and got a pumpkin.

I’m so jealous of all these cool things you guys do to transition into fall! In Australia, autumn just comes and goes but apple picking and pumpkin carving sounds as lovely as a big scented candle <3
I hope your week ahead treats you well <3

The Long Island Fall Festival sounds amazing! There’s nothing better this time of month than festivals… especially with a hot apple cider in hand!

Yes, a hot apple cider would have been good. It was actually 70 degrees when I went to the festival, so it didn’t really feel like fall. But I loved walking around and checking out all of the vendors!
