Well, another other week is coming to a close and we are getting closer and closer to Halloween. Does everyone have their costumes all planned out? I’ve been working hard at hoarding all of the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups I can get my hands on and still finding some great pumpkin decorating tutorials, like this one here. Don’t worry, I’ll share my finished pumpkins on the blog soon.
This week was a busy one for me with lots of events on my social calendar. Last weekend I attended a concert by the 70’s and 80’s rock band Kansas at the Patchogue Theater. On Wednesday, I rang in National Dessert Day (that’s every day, right?) by going out to dinner at XO Wine and Chocolate Lounge in Huntington, NY. As the name suggests, they are known for their decadent chocolate dishes. I’ve been there a few times before and it is a choc-o-holic’s dream. On this occasion, I indulged in a salted caramel martini and chocolate covered strawberries. Both were delicious! Afterwards, I saw The Walk in 3D, the movie documenting Philippe Petit’s 1974 high-wire walk between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. The movie was fascinating and terrifying, even though Philippe successfully completed his dream of crossing the 140 feet between the towers, 110 stories up. It’s worth seeing the film in 3D to feel the full effect of his walk. And finally, I wrapped the week up with a fun photo shoot that I will be sharing on the blog Monday. So be sure to visit then!
On another note, I am extremely grateful for all of your comments on my posts and the new blogger friends I have made. I love responding to your comments and checking out all of your posts, so keep them coming…and thank you!

I love chocolate and these desserts look irresistible. Thanks so much for sharing! I also so The Walk and it was such a great movie! I still can’t believe that this was based off a real story. My mind cannot even fathom how someone could successfully do this and I don’t want to ruin it for your other readers who haven’t yet watched, but didn’t he catch you by surprised by what he KEPT doing up there?! Amazing!
I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend, beautiful!

Thanks, Jalisa! You’re too kind. XO Chocolate and Wine Lounge is one of my favorite places. You definitely should give it a try if you ever are on LI. Wasn’t the movie great? I just rented the documentary, Man on Wire, which I’ve seen at least twice before because I am so fascinated with Petit’s story. If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth watching…especially since you’ve seen the movie. I hope you have a great weekend!
You really had a busy and fun week! All these treats look delicious! Your necklace is so pretty! Have a wonderful weekend!
