It’s that time of the year again. No, we aren’t talking about the holidays, but something far more serious. What could be more important than gift giving, holiday decorating, or finding the perfect outfit, you ask?
Pesky dry lips. Any woman who applies lipstick on a regular basis knows that cold weather can wreak havoc on her pout. And we are all aware that applying matte lipstick to dry, chapped, or cracked lips is no fun…and doesn’t look good either!
Don’t fret just yet. I’ve rounded up six moisturizers that will keep your lips smooth all winter long and perfectly kissable for mistletoe moments.
Blistex Daily Conditioning Treatment: Need to break out the big guns to combat chapped lips? This daily conditioning treatment from Blistex packs a serious punch and contains SPF 20. Don’t judge the moisturizer on the smell alone — this lip protector means business with cocoa butter, Aloe, and Vitamin E.
Energy Orange Ginger Lip Balm: Bath & Body Works always has terrific products, and their orange ginger scent is one of my favorites. I love this fragrance in the body wash, so of course I’d want to use it on my lips. The tangy citrus scent will make you want to use this moisturizer again and again. So apply away! Your lips will surely thank you.
Kiss My Face Sport Treatment: Looking for a moisturizer that can keep up with your workouts? This sport treatment boasts soothing botanicals, Shea butter, and Vitamin E, in addition to providing a broad spectrum SPF 30 and being water resistant for up to 80 minutes.
Blistex Nurture & Nourish: If you want a moisturizer with antioxidants and essential minerals, then this one is for you. The natural fragrance from the olive and grapeseed oil will leave you feeling good about what you’re putting on your lips, and your lips will thank you for the extra moisture.
Burt’s Bees Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter: This is my go-to lip moisturizer. I love that the product is 100% natural, smells great, and leaves my lips smooth and hydrated.
Chapstick Hydration Lock Skin Protection Day and Night: For those who don’t want to be bothered toting multiple lip moisturizers, this is the solution. One end offers your lips protection during the day with SPF 12, while the other end can be applied to keep your lips moisturized while you sleep. A product that pulls double-duty — I’m all over that!
And remember, these lip moisturizers make great stocking stuffers!
What’s your go-to lip moisturizer?
great tips. It is very important to protect our lips during the colder months…lately, I’ve been using coco oil as a lip moisturizer.

You’re welcome! I’m always trying new moisturizers to keep my lips smooth throughout the winter.
There is nothing worse that dry lips ;(
Agreed!
Vanessa, I just love the whole tone of this post and I agree, there’s nothing more annoying than trying to rush out the door and put some color on your lips, to find that they look all chapped and cracked. I’m currently using Burt’s Bees, it’s one I’ve been using for the past few months; I had been using EOS for a while, but then I decided to try out the Burt’s and love it, too.
Great selection here, girlie; thanks for the roundup, such a helpful post! I hope you’re having a wonderful day so far!

Thanks, Jalisa! I agree that Burt’s Bees is a great product. I tried the EOS moisturizer as well, but the peppermint one I purchased irritated my lips after a while, so I switched to Burt’s Bees. I’m so glad you enjoyed the post!
