Reflecting on 2015

As another year comes to a close, I wanted to thank my lovely readers for making my second year of blogging such a rewarding experience. It’s because of your support that I allowed myself to follow my passion this year — and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I’m grateful for the connections I have made through blogging and all that I learn from each one of your posts. Despite never having met most of you in person, I’m thrilled that I can share pieces of my life, and I hope some of my insight, with you.

This year was one of transitions for me — from venturing outside of what was my chosen career to slowly finding myself on this new path. What began as a creative outlet has given me something greater than I could have ever imagined — a sense of fulfillment and purpose. I find myself willing to sacrifice sleep (most unusual for a thyroid patient!) while I stay up late at night putting the finishing touches on each post, and rising earlier than normal to start my day and read all of your own blogs and comments. With each post I’ve published this year, I’ve grown as a person and as a writer. To me, that is the greatest reward I could have.

I’m excited to see what 2016 brings for both me personally and this site. I wish you all a happy and healthy New Year! I’ll be back with a new post on Monday, January 4th.

  6. I’m so with you on the sense of purpose and fulfillment blogging brings! I also have to agree that the greatest reward is how it enriches our own lives as the blogger and helps us grow as a person, develop our identity as we develop our writing style, and produce something we can take pride in!
