In keeping with my New Year’s goals, I made it to my first workout of 2016 yesterday (woohoo, day six of the New Year and I am still on track). Despite having plenty of workout gear to keep me going for a while, half the fun of working out is looking good while doing it, right? I’m partial to black capri leggings, but these cold temps and the array of fun patterns and colors I’ve spotted recently got me thinking about expanding my workout wear (read: let the shopping begin).

My fitness class revealed that leggings with mesh panels are having a moment. These are a must for me this year. Another brand I’ve been swooning over, Prismsport, has lots of fun patterns that are sure to make you excited to hit the gym, like these blue python leggings. I met the owners of the company a few years back at the Hampton Classic Horse Show and saw some of their pieces in person. Let’s just say I’ve been adding their leggings to my wish list ever since. And of course, I couldn’t pass up the sparkly skull leggings from Zara Terez. How chic are they?

  10. I’m loving these leggings, Vanessa, especially those mesh ones; I need to get a pair! I LOVE wearing bright and colorful workout gear and I tend to reach for the brightest neon ones when it’s rainy or really cold because it just helps to motivate me more! I simply adore Calvin Klein’s Pro Performance wear, my goodness, I practically have each collection! The prints and colors are always so fun and are of great quality, holding everything in place while training 😉 They tend to be a bit pricy, but I can usually spot them at Marshalls for about half the price! I need to look into Primsport, I’ve never tried out their gear before; thanks for the suggestion!

    Cheers to accomplishing our (fitness) goals this 2016, we can and we will do it!

    • Thanks, Jalisa! Why is shopping for workout wear so much fun. Target has some great brands at affordable prices, too. The best part is that they can take you from workout to weekend, so you can get a lot of wear from them. Let’s keep up the good work in 2016!

  14. Having fun clothes to wear DEFINITELY helps keep the motivation to work out! And those skull leggings, yes please! Congrats on staying on track so far, and hey, if you have to do a little shopping to stay healthy, you gotta do what you gotta do right?
