The Allure of Larimar

Larimar Earrings

When I was first approached about a collaboration, I was intrigued by the Larimar meaning and the beauty of the stone. Larimar Jewelry uses a stone found in the waters of the Dominican Republic and is often referred to as the Atlantis Stone due to its distinctive blue coloring. Even better, the stone is thought to be a throat chakra — a healing crystal that can provide energy to parts of the body. I’ll take all of the healing powers I can get after thyroid cancer!

Once I visited their website and saw the intricate jewelry that Larimar creates, which is all handmade by local craftsmen, I was impressed. Every piece is crafted with quality in mind. And the rich blue and green tones of the stone come through in each design.

A pair of earrings is de rigueur for me when I leave the house. The round cut Larimar earrings were the perfect option for both everyday wear and more formal occasions. I love how the blue stone stands out and comes alive when paired with other colors. Even if you normally resist wearing jewelry, Larimar will induce you to make exceptions. These are earrings you will want to wear.

I chose to pair the earrings with an emerald green dress, which complemented the stones nicely. Although it was 30 degrees out on the day these photos were taken, the alluring green and blue combination took me to the tropics.

  1. Hi Lunva, first time I knew about larimar stone was in Dominicana,I was living there and I liked it very much. I visited a lot of handcraft and I bought this stone for all my friends. Of course I have it but I only wear it in summer. Kisses

  2. Vanessa, you look absolutely GORGEOUS! I love your hair, makeup, outfit and of course, those fabulous earrings! I love Larimar; my husband bought me a necklace a few years ago on our trip to Punta Cana, DR. It’s indeed a gorgeous stone and it holds such a special meaning to me because it was the first out of the country trip we both took together, so the mention of Larimar always makes me smile 🙂 I love the way you paired it with that lovely emerald dress, which looks wonderful on you!

Thanks so much for the inspiration, beautiful, and I hope you have a warm, cozy and safe weekend!
