Just when I think it is safe to put away the snow shovel, return the snow brush to the confines of my car, and stow away my snow boots — it snows. Although we’ve only been hit with two snowstorms this winter (both times the forecasters got it wrong, I’ll have you know), spring cannot come soon enough.
It’s amazing how as a child I welcomed the white, fluffy powder — when snow was predicted, I even did a snow dance and said a prayer before bed. But now, as an adult, I cringe at the thought of snow. And while staying at home in my pajamas during the week is a nice alternative to my normally busy routine, the relaxation ends when it comes time to shovel the driveway and dig the car out (a task that sometimes makes my grueling kickboxing class seem like child’s play).
So here’s hoping that the snow days this week will be some of our last this winter. One highlight of all this snow is that it has made for some incredible landscape shots.
Here are a few of my favorite captures:
{The view from my window}
{How my peahen chose to ride out the snow! #yesthatstheroof}
{A beautiful blue sky after the snow…}
{Followed by a fiery sunset…}
{And bold colors before the next snowstorm}
Those pictures are amazing! We have more snow coming our way today.. hopefully I can snap some pics like these!!

Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the photos.
Those snowy photos look gorgeous! I still welcome the snow-it could be that I don’t have to shovel though since I’m in the city!

I used to welcome the snow when I didn’t have to shovel it, too, Jill! Now I just regard it as unnecessary exercise that will leave me very sore the next day. At least it’s pretty to look at…for about an hour!
SO gorgeous- the snow is so pretty, but I’m definitely ready for spring. 🙂

Me too, Ashley! How many days do we have to go?!
Hahaha! Just when you are about to put the shovel away….. I have mixed feelings about the snow on your behalf because in my country we don’t experience snow at all. It makes the environmentr look beautiful like a work of art but it restrains your movement because of the temperature and you have to remove it by yourself……

The first snow of the season is always exciting, Meron. But after shoveling it once, I’m usually over it…until the next year.
Those photographs are beautiful! However, I’ll enjoy it from the opposite end of the computer screen. I’m so glad to be away from snow. 😀
