Last Wednesday I attended the Sachin & Babi show during New York Fashion Week. I can’t thank Kate at Taffeta and Tulips enough for inviting me to preview their fall/winter 2016 collection with her.
If you are unfamiliar with Sachin & Babi, they are the husband-and-wife duo behind the label. Their designs incorporate beautiful patterns, fabrics, and intricate details that make their pieces appeal to both celebrities and fashionistas alike. Whether you need an elegant dress for a special occasion or a show-stopping separate piece, these designers have the modern woman’s style in mind. And they have pledged that each piece purchased will help children in need in Mumbai, India.
This was my first time at a NYFW event, and Sachin & Babi outdid themselves with an incredible presentation of their new collection, which was held in a majestic brownstone in New York City’s Meatpacking District. The home boasted an open floor plan and included spacious rooms with furniture from all over the world, complete with ornate detailing. Upon arriving, we entered the main living room where we were greeted by a cellist and a cozy fireplace while we took in the views.
I loved browsing the brownstone and the fashion during this presentation, and the layout of the models gave you an up-close and personal look — while allowing you to preview each outfit at your own pace. Let’s just say that I’m still swooning over a certain red peplum!
This line from Sachin & Babi offers bold hues, rich colors, and playful patterns that are sure to keep you looking confident and stylish.
So without further ado, let’s look at some of their latest pieces, shall we?
