Spring Satchels

With the beginning of a new season, comes time to ditch the darker tones of winter in favor of brighter hues. And what better way to start than with your handbag?

Bags need to be just the right size. Too small — they can’t hold your essentials. Too big — you can never find what you need when you need it. I’ve always coveted medium-sized bags, and my Coach tote has been my go-to season after season. But after straining a shoulder while carrying the sucker around Manhattan on a few occasions last month, I thought there had to be a better way.

Enter the satchel. Call it a satchel or a crossbody, these babies may be a life-saver (or at least will save my shoulder!). The array of colors and styles available means they can accommodate everyone from minimalist to pack rat. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites above, and I can hardly wait to welcome a satchel to my closet this spring.

Which satchel is on your spring wish list?

    1. I had that same problem a while back, Christina! It’s why I have tons of black bags now. Try a color blocked one. It will still go with lots of looks, and it will add a pop of color to your style!

    1. Isn’t that Topshop bag perfection, Molly? I loved it when I spotted it, and I couldn’t believe the price. I think I will definitely be welcoming it to my closet this spring.

  1. Such lovely colours! I do love bags and don’t really have any bags which are light in colour. If I were to opt for one it would be a blue design, one of my favourite shades.

Some great items here, nicely picked out. I would opt for the first one in each row, I like rounded styles of handbags which fit nicely on your shoulder.

    Thanks for sharing!
