Five Fashionable Finds

{Peplum||Dress||Chambray||Off-the-Shoulder||Striped Top}

What do peplums, a tie-front dress, chambray, an off-the-shoulder top, and stripes have in common? They should all be in your closet for spring. Don’t believe me? Just look at retailers like Old Navy, Banana Republic, and H&M this season. You’ll be seeing lots of these pieces. To be sure you’re stepping into spring in style, I’ve rounded up the best looks.

I can’t say enough good things about this chambray shirt from Mossimo at Target. What’s more, seeing the light and dark wash version side-by-side will have you buying two.

We all know that stripes are versatile, so I had to include not one but two pieces in the pattern. A simple striped top works alone or under a blazer for those chilly days (and we’ve been having a lot of them on the East Coast). With any luck warmer days should lie ahead, and this tie-front dress would be the perfect option for brunching or shopping. Of course, the pièce-de-résistance for me is a peplum. Something about that little detail on the bottom has me hooked. I could never own too many peplums (although my closet might disagree). And this darling black-and-white peplum has my name all over it!

Which pieces are you coveting for spring?

  1. Love this – and you’re so right on the trends we “need” right now. Off the shoulder is EVERYWHERE (which isn’t great for me, but I love it just the same.) But with the amount of stripes in my wardrobe already, I’m hopefully covered for the time being. 😉

    The pieces that I’m loving are tie-front dresses, because I love having the structure in my dresses, and I adore that a more structured lace is easier to find nowadays.

    P.S. Today is my first day full time blogging, so you got a mention on SST. Thanks, again, for your tips!

    1. Thanks, Jessica! I’m so glad you like these trends, too. Congrats on becoming a full-time blogger. I can’t wait to see what you do with your site, and I’m headed over now to read the post!
