The verdict is in on these natural deodorants! And while I won’t be switching to them full-time, one of the products has potential.
As I’ve mentioned before, I am always looking to incorporate natural skincare and beauty products into my regimen. I’ve sampled many natural deodorants, but none have ever been as effective as my anti-perspirant. So when my mom kindly bought these two deodorants for me to try, I was skeptical.
The Crystal Body Deodorant Stick, which is hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and paraben-free is just that — a crystal that you wet and roll on under your arms. I have to say, I didn’t notice much of anything when I first used this product. My underarms felt wet — and not in a good way. I soon determined that this was not a product for me.
But all is not lost when it comes to natural deodorant products. The mineral deodorant body spray met with better results. It also contained no aluminum chlorohydrate and was hypoallergenic and paraben-free. Its lavender and white tea fragrance was soft and refreshing, and gave the feeling you would expect from a light deodorant spray.
Overall, the jury is still out on using these products daily (you’re better than I am if you can make that kind of commitment), in the dead of summer, or during a workout. But if you are looking to go the natural route, and don’t mind a product that needs to be reapplied, then the mineral deodorant body spray is worth a try.
Thanks for sharing! I’ve been a little apprehensive on trying natural deodorants. I might need to try the spray. The smell sounds refreshing.

I hear ya, Kathrine! The spray worked well — and I didn’t feel bad reapplying it as needed because it’s natural.
Always on the look for great natural deodorant! These look great!

Definitely give the mineral deodorant body spray a try, Danielle!
Love the idea of using a natural deodorant and am always on the look out. Gemma x

Give these a try, Gemma!
My mom also gifted me with the roll on, haha! That’s too funny! The roll on works great for her, but she’s not as active as I am and doesn’t sweat nearly as much as I do! So, as you can imagine, when working out, I need some high powered antiperspirant, lol! I tried this one and I was SO embarrassed because although it’s better for your health, it’s not great at all for masking the smell and controlling the amount of sweat, which is not good if you’re like me and sweat easily. I’ve yet to find one that ticks all the boxes, so I’m still using my Secret; if you find one, please let me know, I know you work out, too! For those who don’t sweat much or who don’t participate in rigorous activities, I think these would be great! I like that even though it didn’t work for you, you still shared it because it’s still a great brand to know about if, like you said, someone is looking to go the all natural route. Plus, we all have different bodies and responses, so with something like this, it could really work for someone else, like it does my mom. Thanks so much for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you’re having a great day so far!

That’s too funny that your mom bought you the roll on as well, Jalisa! I think these products are definitely worth trying — they’re not expensive — and every body is different. So it might work better for some than others. Since I work out a fair amount, I need an antiperspirant. I’ve been using the Degree Motion Sense — it works really well! I bought it right before I went out to California last year, and it kept me dry and smells amazing.
Oh, I want to try the mineral spray!

It’s a great product, Ashley!
I love the idea of using natural beauty products, but unfortunately sometimes, not all of them leave up to their standards. Thanks for the honest verdict. 🙂

I completely agree, Missy! I’ve found it’s really trial and error with natural products.
I completely understand the struggle for the best natural deodorant, I made the switch in 2009, and the search for the perfect deodorant was almost impossible. I tried so many and kept getting disappointed, the worst one was Tom’s. Oh my, I had to reapply it every 2hr. I use their toothpaste and I am very happy with it but the deodorant was terrible. Well long story short, I found that Arm&Hammer had the BEST natural deodorant. I get the one with a Mint scent, it is a neutral scent, very fresh and minty, my Fiancé uses it as well. It lasts the whole day, without having to reapply, the only minus about it is the packaging; doesn’t look as appealing, since I am a sucker for pretty packaging, If you get a chance, I highly recommend you trying it xo, Emily

Thanks for the recommendation, Emily! I’ve tried Tom’s and Kiss My Face before, and didn’t have much luck with either. This mineral spray is definitely worth a try, but I agree, finding the right natural deodorant is a struggle.
Lovely post, so good with natural deodorant. We put so much crazy things on our bodies and in our faces as we do, so the more natural the better! Xx

I completely agree!
Thanks for sharing! I’ll definitely have to try these 🙂 I love natural beauty products too!

Thanks, Raina! I’d love to hear your thoughts, if you try this product.
I’m definitely curious to try the mineral spray! I’ve yet to find somebody who has been blown away by a natural deodorent and willing to make the full time switch. So the search continues.
The struggle is real, Kasie! I’ve tried a few different brands, and never loved any of them as much as I love my Degree Motion Sense. The mineral body spray is definitely worth a try!
No lo conocía!!

Thanks, Judit!
I tried a few natural deodorants while I was pregnant the first time, and none of them worked! It’s great hearing you found some success with one of them, I’ll have to check it out!

It seems that it is not easy to find one that is safe and effective, Colleen! But the mineral spray is worth a try.
Good product review my dear. Have a nice day.

Hi. I always meant to tell you the one I use and it works for me surprisingly well. I came upon it by accident a few years ago. The brand is KIss My Face. Says “Active Enzyme” on label. It’s a stick deodorant, but never is sticky.
Thanks, Claudia! I’ve tried the Kiss My Face brand before, I’m not sure if the one you mentioned was what I tried, but I’ll look into it.
Have you tried Meow Meow Tweet Tweet? Or any other brand of cream deodorants? I find that cream deodorants are the most effective natural deodorants. It’s a bit inconvenient to use your fingers to apply a cream rather than a stick but it’s worth it for your health!
Thanks for the suggestion! I haven’t tried those brand before, but I will check them out.
I’ve tried natural ones too and didn’t have great luck. The idea of reapplying is so annoying too and I know i would forget!

Reapplying is definitely a pain, Kali! It’s probably why I’m sticking to my Degree Motion Sense deodorant, which lasts all day.
Love natural deodorant! Great review!

I use The Healthy Deoderant. It is sold at Sephora.
Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll have to give it a try.
