Over the weekend, I had a real #FOMO moment…although I didn’t realize just how much I missed out on until later.
A little backstory. This past Saturday, I received a text from a friend about a local jewelry store having a trunk show. The words jewelry store and trunk show are usually music to my ears. But if you follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (@livinginsteil), you may know that I have my weekly kickboxing class on said day (and some inside information — I’m usually not too productive thereafter). So we bagged the idea of venturing out to the trunk show on Saturday afternoon and decided to have a summer BBQ instead.
The day came and went, but I had the sneaking suspicion that we missed out on something good. With no hard evidence to back those feelings up with, I decided to browse the jewelry designer’s website. And there it was. My worst fears confirmed.
One look at Lagos Jewelry and you will understand the oohing and aahing that accompanied viewing each item as I perused their website. If you’re a fan of David Yurman, you best check Lagos out. I was immediately impressed with the craftsmanship, bold stones, and array of designs that they offered. Is it too soon to be making my birthday wish list?
The Caviar collection and line of unique turquoise rings, bracelets, and necklaces immediately caught my eye. But it was the stones in the pieces that had me sold — from Lapis Doublet to Abalone Doublet — these were some of the most exquisite colors I have ever seen.
I spent the remainder of that evening dwelling on missing out on the trunk show, but consoled myself with the knowledge that I found a new jewelry designer to love.
I’ve never heard of this brand before. They have some great stuff! Thanks for sharing!

I’m obsessed with their jewelry, Samantha! So many nice pieces.
As I am the guilty friend, we will make a trip to the shop sooner than later! Sometimes I need to stop & read the details & not just zero in on the beautiful jewelry! BBQ was great!
I love that you outed yourself, Sue! No worries — there will be other opportunities, I’m sure.
These pieces seriously are stunning! Don’t you hate it when you realize you missed out on an awesome opportunity like that? Ah well, at least you’re doing your part to share this gorgeous jewelry and make up for it. There will be another chance I’m sure!
Thanks, Kasie! I was so bummed that I missed this trunk show. But you’re right, there will be other opportunities. And until then, I can just drool over these gorgeous pieces!
The top left earrings are so pretty! I’ve never heard of this brand, but they have some great pieces!

Thanks, Courtney! They have so many nice pieces. It would be hard for me to choose a favorite.
Sorry you missed the trunk show but you did save some money. Lol! I love Lagos and also a big fan of David Yurman as well. Both lines are so elegant and classic which is what I’m always looking for in jewelry.

That’s a good way of looking at it, Kathrine! My bank account is probably very happy I missed the trunk show. I love both of these jewelry lines, too!
Those earrings on the bottom right are gorgeous. Great picks!
