Go: I’m not sure if Mother Nature is aware, but it is June. According to all of the notifications I’ve been receiving from Facebook lately, at this time last year, I was already getting my tan on. So let’s hope that the weather report for the upcoming week is correct, and that I can finally break out my summer clothes—and banish the sweaters…at least until fall.
See: Over the past couple of years, I’ve gone to my fair share of concerts. While I love an outdoor venue on a warm summer night, if I have to be indoors, The Paramount in Huntington, New York suits me just fine. I saw Fitz & The Tantrums play there back in November and was impressed with the swanky atmosphere. So, when another opportunity to attend a concert at The Paramount arose, this time to see Michael Franti & Spearhead’s Love Out Loud Tour, I jumped at the chance.
Do: Well, this wasn’t actually scheduled on my to-do list, but my recent consult with a head-and-neck surgeon turned into an unexpected biopsy…as in, “let’s just get it done now while you are here,” kind of thing. While I appreciated that I wouldn’t have to schedule a follow-up appointment and make another trip to the office, I may have rethought my wardrobe choice had I known a biopsy would ensue. But all’s well that ends well, and the biopsy is behind me. Now, I just need to wait a week for the pathology results.
Read: It seems like the only time I am able to knock books off of my reading list is during the summer. Last summer I read The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins, and this summer her latest book, Into the Water, has been making quite a splash (and therefore earned a spot on my reading list). I hope it’s as good as the last read!
Career: I am working on a new career venture that I am excited to share with you all in the coming weeks. In the meantime, I have diligently been updating my LinkedIn account, so feel free to also connect with me here!
What’s on your agenda this month?
Thanks for sharing your June agenda. Praying for good results on your biopsy. Can’t wait to hear about your new career direction! Happy Friday Vanessa!

Thank you, Kathrine! I appreciate the prayers.
The sun is finally out today.. hopefully the weather will stay this way now.
I can’t remember the last concert I saw..
I didn’t really love Girl on the Train.. though I have been hearing tons of buzz about Into the Water.. so let’s see
I am so glad that it is starting to feel like summer, Hena! Sorry to hear that you didn’t love Girl on the Train. I enjoyed the book, but thought the movie was lacking.
