The New Steil

I’ve wanted to spruce up the look of this site for a while, but wasn’t sure where to start or what style I was going for.  So I was thrilled when I came across a theme from Bella Creative Studio that seemed to be everything I wanted—sleek, responsive, and well, just beautiful to look at.  I immediately emailed Gina, the owner, and we got started.  With her customizable WordPress themes, I could get the exact look that I wanted to represent my lifestyle site.

Gina was an absolute pleasure to work with and I wholeheartedly recommend her if you are looking for a new theme for your site.  She answered all of my questions, helped me with hosting and migration, and got my site up quickly.

Since I was updating the design of the site, it seemed only fitting to create a new logo to match the look.  When it came time for the header image, I was drawn to using black and gold.  After many failed attempts at designing something on my own with a gold font (it’s not as easy as it may look to create), I was delighted when I found Lindsay of Macarons and Mimosas (and also on Etsy) who promptly got to work on my design and within hours sent me my new logo—which is everything I had envisioned.

While the prior look of this site served me well for four years of blogging, this space needed a fresh appearance.  I am excited to post on this redesigned site, tinker with settings as I go along, and enjoy the new aesthetic of this space on the Internet.
