As I turn the page of the calendar to September, I find myself wondering where the summer went. I know—I probably sound like a broken record because I say this every summer—but this summer felt particularly short. Between working full-time, trying to squeeze in time for blogging, and let’s not forget moving, I feel like the summer of 2017 passed me right by.
While I never made it to the beach (who needs to lay out, anyway?), I did manage to head out to the Hamptons for two wellness retreats and a day at The Hampton Classic horse show—so I will focus on the positives.
I am happy to report that after a week of moving (and months of packing), I am about 90 percent settled into my new pad. Sure, there will be a few more Target runs in my future, but otherwise it is livable.
Most importantly, I finally have my Internet back (which was no easy task and may warrant its own blog post to give you the full picture). Let me tell you, four days without an Internet connection was rough—and certainly medal or monument worthy, in my opinion.
So, while this wasn’t exactly a summer of beachin’ and brunchin’, it was a summer of productivity, and a lot of adulting. I just hope that future summers are a little more restful.
Hope you all have a Happy Labor Day!
P.S. Thank you for bearing with me during my sporadic posting schedule this summer and long stretches of radio silence on social media. It is much appreciated!
So glad the move is mostly complete! There are seasons when things are not as enjoyable and you are probably in that right now. I’m sure after you have settled in you will start to relax and be able to enjoy everything around you. Happy Labor Day!

Thanks, Kathrine! I think the relaxation part is starting to happen. I am really enjoying my new surroundings.
Congrats on the new move in and getting internet! When I first moved into my new place, it took a week! D: Hope you’re having a great Labor Day! xo
