It seems like we just entered fall…and now we are in November and turning the clocks back in just a few days. Where has the time (and daylight) gone?!
While I’m partial to the month of November (it is my birthday month, after all), I’m also well aware that we are nearing the end of 2017. Where has this year gone?
This month, there is lots happening on the agenda—and while not all of it is going to be fun, I know I’ll do my best to see the bright side of every situation. So, let’s get to it, shall we?
Go: While my traveling this year has been fairly limited (working a full-time job and having a side-hustle will do that to you), I jumped at the chance to take a work trip to Fort Lauderdale later this week. Something about sunny days and palm trees puts a smile on my face.
Do: Turn 31! Yes, I am getting closer to becoming another year older—and hopefully a little wiser. Although I don’t have any outrageous b-day plans this year, I would love nothing more than to spend the day relaxing.
Try: I’ve really gotten into holistic health and wellness lately, so I was beyond excited to be invited to Tournesol Wellness in New York City to try their Vibroacoustic Sound Therapy treatment. I’m even more excited to give you a behind-the-scenes look when I’m there in a couple of weeks for my treatment. So stay tuned!
And now, for the not-so-fun part of the month. I wasn’t sure how to properly categorize this, so I’ll just devote a short paragraph to address it. After 12 months of having my antithyroglobulin levels remain elevated—and after recent blood work revealed this is still the case—I have finally agreed to move ahead and with an I-131 whole body scan and PET/CT scan. I’ve been hesitant to undergo these tests for the longest time, for fear of being radioactive (it really creeps me out). But the possibility of being given a clean bill of health far outweighs the risks. I will be out-of-commission the week of November 20th, as I prepare for and undergo the scans. You all have been so supportive of me on my health journey and I can’t tell you how much your well wishes mean to me.
What’s on your agenda this month?
I will be praying that these scans go well for you my friend. That work trip sounds amazing. Chill out when you can and enjoy the palm trees! The sounds therapy sounds very cool. I am working on putting some shopping tours together with a local chicago company. Keeping my fingers crossed that it turns out well.

Those shopping tours sound like a lot of fun. Wish I lived in Chicago so I could go!
