The Perfect Work Pant from Loft

In the days leading up to starting a new job, you will likely find me rummaging through my closet in search of the perfect outfit. Despite having plenty of clothes, I have a tendency to want to purchase an entirely new wardrobe prior to starting a job. This time was no exception.

Since I was starting in mid-January, my go-to sleeveless Banana Republic dresses were out. And the style of my black trousers were looking a bit dated to me. So, I hit up my usual haunts—Banana Republic, Anthropologie, and J. Crew. But, sadly, nothing caught my eye. Until I stopped at Loft and spotted the Marisa skinny ankle length pant.

I love shopping in the petite section at Loft, but I usually don’t have much luck with their dresses and pants (even in the smallest size). But these pants were different. They were tailored in all the right places and I just knew that they would be perfect for my first day at my new job.

When my first day rolled around, I paired my Marisa pant with a blush pink top from Loft, a blazer from H&M, and my patent leather Michael Kors heels. I felt confident and polished all day, and couldn’t think of a better outfit to start off my new job with. I actually loved the pants so much, that I stopped at my local Loft and had them order me a second pair in Forever Navy.
