What’s a girl to do when she awakes to find more than the anticipated dusting of snow on the ground? Well, break out her new Sorel Joan or Arctic winter boots, of course.
That’s just what I did when I woke up to the sound of snowplows and saw a decent coating of snow on the ground the other morning. While my new snow boots failed to arrive before our last major snow storm earlier in the month, they certainly came in handy for this event.
After finally getting the opportunity to wear my Joan of Arctic snow boots, I was pleased to discover that they were cozy and comfy—two things I normally don’t say about snow boots. Usually, I find them to be heavy, clunky, or just not that fashionable. But these beauties ticked off all of the boxes I had on my snow boot checklist and I enjoyed wearing them.
Since these boots come up higher than the last pair of North Face boots I had (may they rest in peace), it looks like I will be well-insulated against the elements the next time we get a major snowfall.
These are my first pair of boots from Sorel, but I doubt they will be my last.
