This is my favorite time of year. The days are longer, nights are cooler, and there are tons of fun things to do to soak up the sun.
Summer is also the perfect time to start a new routine, try out a hobby, or just to explore your surroundings. You might be amazed by what a summer can unlock for you.
This summer, I have been in major workout mode. While I initially thought I would forgo my warm flow yoga classes once it got too “warm” out, that hasn’t been the case. There is something enjoyable about working up a sweat and then coming out of class and into the cool summer night that just feels amazing.
Summer has also lead me to start a new weekly routine. Every Tuesday, after my warm flow yoga class, I pack something for dinner and head to the nearest beach to watch the sunset. I could be writing a blog post or finishing up work emails, but winding down at the beach as the sun fades away just does it for me.
Self-care has also been an important theme this season (as evidenced from all of my brunching and beaching photos). Summer is so short and each day is a gift, so get out there and make the most of the beautiful days ahead. There are so many demands placed on us during the week that I truly feel that those two weekend days are sacred. I’ve been finding more time for myself in between everything that I have to get done in those precious 48 hours—and it feels amazing.
