“Obsessed…”
“Must-have”
“The best mask…ever!”
Those are just a few ways to describe the Jet Lag Mask from Summer Fridays. And since summer is winding down, what better way to keep those precious summer Fridays alive than with this mask?
I’m always hesitant to try new skincare products. My skin is so sensitive that the slightest change to my skincare game or hint of a new product can throw it off. So I resisted the urge to run to my local Sephora and buy this mask—even though everyone on Instagram had been singing its praises all summer long.
What made me take the plunge and cave in? Well, with the end of my precious beach days, I wanted to ensure that my dewy glow lived on. On what was actually my last summer Friday at the office, I booked over to Sephora ready to splurge on this mask. I checked online before I made the trip and the mask seemed to be in stock. But when I arrived, I heard the dreaded words, “sold out.” Fortunately, there was some stock in the back and I was able to make my purchase.
I wasted no time at all trying this mask once I bought it. By Friday night it was on my face and I was already in love—although I did only keep in on for the recommended 10 minutes and decided against pushing my luck and sleeping with it on overnight. By night two—and with no adverse reaction by the next morning—I chanced it and used the mask overnight.
Why do I love this mask so much? Because it is unlike any mask I have ever tried before. For starters, it doesn’t go on like a mask, nor does it harden or make your skin feel tight. It applies like a hydrating cream and smells amazing, too. Next, I love that it is paraben free, sulfate free, and has no synthetic dyes or fragrances—meaning you can rest assured that it doesn’t contain any harmful ingredients that you wouldn’t want laying on your skin overnight. So, what does it contain? The mask utilizes chestnut extract, Vitamin C, niacinamide (which sounds scary, but is actually a naturally occurring compound of Vitamin B3), and green tea as the main ingredients. And, finally, after using this mask, I awoke with a dewy complexion that left my skin looking radiant and hydrated (added bonus: my makeup went on better and lasted longer).
So, yes, I have joined the masses and am now a loyal Summer Fridays user.
One other thing I forgot to mention (and haven’t actually tested out yet), is that you can use the mask as a primer under your makeup. Talk about a product that has you covered.
Have you heard? The Jet Lag Mask was such a huge success that Summer Fridays just launched their next product—the Overtime Mask, which is packed with plenty of vitamins and pumpkin exfoliates to brighten skin. Where can I get my hands on that?
I need to get this mask! Thanks for this review. I hope to buy it soon from Sephora. And thanks for the heads up about it might not being in stock. Happy weekend Vanessa!

I am so in love with this mask, Kathrine! Actually, I just put it on after a long day at the beach to give my skin a little added moisture. I can’t wait to try the Overtime Mask next!
