On Saturday, I shot a fun activewear shoot in New York City that will be on the blog this Friday! I love the brand and was excited about shooting in the city, even though it meant schlepping along a bag with no fewer than 10 outfit options and, of course, a can of hairspray for touch-ups.
I asked my followers on Instagram Stories whether they thought I should go with a straight or wavy look for my hair, and the majority said wavy. So, wavy it was (which was no easy feat to keep looking neat in the wind).
I chose to shoot down in Battery City Park by the Freedom Tower. It is one of my favorite locations in the city and I thought it would make the perfect backdrop for the shoot—which it did.
My photographer and I ended up taking pictures at both Brookfield Place and the new Oculus building across the way. Both locations house lots of great high-end restaurant and shops, and you can’t beat the palm trees at Brookfield Place for a photo op.
After that, we made our way outside and took photos along the Hudson River and in Rockefeller Park.
The weather was absolutely perfect on what was the first day of fall and I couldn’t have asked for better temps for the shoot. By the time we wrapped up, this model had earned her peanut butter cupcake from Sprinkles and iced cappuccino at Le District.
I just got the photos back last night and was blown away by the images we captured. There were so many amazing photos to choose from and I can’t wait to share them with you later in the week!
Can’t wait to see these photos! Love all these images. That first one is my fave. Have a wonderful rest of the week Vanessa!
