It’s been many years since I’ve been at an age where it was still appropriate to Trick-or-Treat. Since those years are now long gone, I’ve mainly lost interest in Halloween. Sure, I love decorating a pumpkin or two and will happily indulge in devouring a bag of Reese’s peanut butter cups. But other than that, Halloween has just been another day on the calendar…until this year.
This Halloween, I am determined to embrace the holiday in all its frivolousness…and will actually even don a costume. It’s not going to be anything elaborate—just something fun to wear into the office on Wednesday. But the mere act of looking for a costume has brought back some of the excitement I used to feel as a kid preparing for the festivities.
So, while I likely won’t be handing out too much candy or walking the neighborhood filling up a plastic pumpkin with treats, I’ll be celebrating Halloween this year in my own way. And, don’t worry, I’ll be sure to share my costume on Instagram, so you can see what I went as this year.
Can’t wait to see your costume! I am not very into Halloween. Christmas is my game. Lol!
