Last week, I saw my endocrinologist for what should have been my six-month follow-up, but was more like nine months (it was bit delayed due to my travel plans back in October and needing to reschedule the appointment). Even though I am six-years out post-surgery, going for routine blood work to check my thyroid labs and see if my Synthroid dose is still adequate, can be daunting. So, I was even more anxious for this appointment, where I would also be having a neck ultrasound (which I haven’t had in a year).
Fortunately, things with my health seemed stable. My antithyroglobulin levels are still elevated (nothing new there), but the rest of my thyroid lab work looked good, and I can stay on my 100 mcg of Synthroid with no change.
Thank you all for the well wishes. Now, I can take a breath until the next appointment…in six more months.
So glad the results are what you hoped for. Keep us posted my friend!
