As someone who enjoys doing a weekly at-home manicure, finding the right nail polish brand and color is imperative. I’ve been using OPI polish for years and have always found it to hold up well. But still, over the span of a workweek, I’d find myself with chipped polish and in need of my next Sunday manicure session. So, when I spotted a co-worker with the prettiest java brown shade on her nails, I had to ask the name.
Linger Over Coffee is part of OPI’s long-wear Infinite Shine line, which despite using the brand for many years, I had never tried. While the color was a complete deviation from my usual moody dark hues, I loved how it seemed to go with everything, which is good considering the long-lasting polish can stay vibrant up to 11 days.
Skeptical at first, I decided to put this polish to the test with weekly activities that included lots of time on the computer, cleaning my apartment, washing dishes, and even a kickboxing class where I worked out sans gloves. So far, I am 8 days in and have only one minor chip (so small, that it’s not even worth touching up).
I’m not sure how I managed before trying this line. When I bought Linger Over Coffee (which I still think should have been called Linger Over Lattes), I also picked up the Infinite Shine Primer and Infinite Shine Top Coat. The easy three-step system makes my home manicures a breeze. The best part is how fast the polish sets. No more waiting around and then being extra cautious all day trying not to smudge a nail. I did my nails in the morning and then headed out for the day—and the polish was good to go.
This long-lasting line has made my life so much easier and I can’t wait to try the other colors in it.
I think I need to try this system! l never have luck with nail polish not chipping. Love this shade!
