As I dug myself out this morning after our first major snowfall of the season, I couldn’t help but wonder, spring, where you at? I know we have little to complain about this winter, as it has been relatively mild in New York. But it seems just as I decide to tuck the snow boots away in the closet, Mother Nature reminds me who’s in charge. So, happy March!
Here’s what’s on my agenda this month:
Do: This Friday, March 8th from 5-7 pm, I will be hosting a fitting event at LOFT on Main Street in Huntington Village, NY. If you are a local, I’d love to meet you and help you find some great new pieces for spring. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite pieces from LOFT on the blog on Friday as a preview before the in-store event.
Try: I am now obsessed with Flex Studios (which just opened a Long Island location in Woodbury). They celebrated their Grand Opening weekend by offering free trial classes…and I took full advantage. I signed-up for a reformer Pilates class, FlexIR (a mat Pilates class in an infrared room), and FlexTRX. All of the classes were amazing, and now I’m ready to add a few of them into my workout routine each week. I highly suggest trying a class at Flex Studios (in New York City or on Long Island).
Learn: I am in the process of going through Fern Olivia’s Thyroid Yoga trainings with more than 50 hours of video content to deepen and broaden my understanding of how the thyroid is supported using integrative and holistic therapies. The signature training features expert Nutritionists, Functional Medicine Doctors and Ayurvedic Practitioners to give an in-depth look at the entire thyroid, glandular and nervous system health. I am so fortunate to be in the process of her amazing Thyroid Yoga lectures, which she generously gifted me, and I know it will deepen my knowledge and also allow me to help others with their own thyroid conditions.
