One of my favorite ways to incorporate more greens into my diet is to sneak them into my morning smoothie. And once summer comes, I’m all about smoothies to start my day. So, when I came across this delicious smoothie recipe from Parsley Health, I immediately went out and bought whatever ingredients I was missing to make it for myself.
The Magic Bullet that I got as a present during my office holiday party has come in handy lately. I’ve already made these chocolate peanut butter truffles in it and I used it to make this smoothie from Parsley Health. Although one caveat, with this smoothie you may want to use a larger food processor, as it was a lot of ingredients for the smaller Magic Bullet to handle.
So, what ingredients do you need? I picked up frozen blueberries and raspberries from Trader Joe’s, organic baby spinach from my local Stop & Shop, Justin’s almond butter (although any brand will do), almond milk (I like the one from New Barn), and I added a scoop of the Rebuild protein powder from Parsley Health to help get me through the morning. After all of the fruits and vegetables are washed, it’s time to blend everything up, pour over ice, and enjoy. In mere minutes you have a healthy breakfast smoothie to grab on the go. And, if you’re like me, you will appreciate how easy this is to pull together when you are running late, but in need of something nourishing before heading out for the day.
Do you have a favorite smoothie recipe that I should try next?
