Days ago, we were all planning our holiday itineraries, wrapping up the last of the presents, and feverishly cooking and baking ahead of the big day. And then, just like that, it was all over. I had a wonderful Christmas this year that included attending mass on Christmas Eve (something I haven’t done in years, but felt called to do this year), enjoyed a leisurely Christmas morning that was spent lounging in festive pajamas, followed by dinner with my grandmother, and lastly, enough time to squeeze in a trip to the movies to see Cats with a friend (which I have to say, was a better movie than I expected it to be).
While my holiday was equal parts hectic and relaxing, I remembered to be present and enjoyed every minute that came with the day. I managed to keep my social media use to a minimum and instead took in the company I was with and my surroundings.
It’s hard to believe that the #CountdownTo2020 is now in full effect and that we have mere days until this decade ends. I plan on sitting down this weekend and working on my 2020 goals—which I will share on the blog next week. Until then, I hope you all have a nice weekend and get to relax a little after the holidays.
What are some things that you are hoping to accomplish before this year comes to a close?
