How have you all been? I hope you’re doing well and staying safe at home. I know it has been a while since I’ve posted, but to be completely transparent, some weeks have just been easier to get through than others. Last week marked a month that I have now been quarantined at home and there was something about hitting day 32 that just got to me. It was a palpable feeling like, “Is this ever going to end?” It took me a few days to shake and return to my mindset of “this too shall pass,” so in the interim, I decided to give myself a break. Hence, my radio silence.
As a blogger, creating content has been challenging lately. Let’s face it, there’s only so many mirror selfies of my work-from-home outfit that people want to see. Am I right? Now let’s add in the fact that I barely drive my car, don’t go to an office anymore, most places in my neighborhood are closed until further notice, and only leave my apartment for a one-hour walk during the day when I won’t run into many people, and that equates to a whole lot of time to spend indoors…by myself. But don’t worry too much about me—I have mastered the at-home workouts (who knew that a tiny apartment could be converted into a gym and a home office?), continued my daily meditation practice, and have caught up with tons of friends, virtually. But a true accomplishment from my time at home is that I just completed my year-long nutrition program through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I have one final exam next week and then I am officially a health coach. It has been such an exciting and transformative year for me and I can’t wait to work with clients and help them on their wellness journey. If you’re interested in a free health history, reach out to me in the comments below or on social media.
So, now that I’ve shared what I’ve been up to, how about we actually catch up? I’ll be hosting a virtual hangout on Instagram Live tonight at 7 pm with my friend and jewelry designer Laura of Humble and Spark. Head over to @livinginsteil on Instagram to join us. We’ll be chatting about how we are coping with working from home as a small business owner (Laura) and a blogger (me), offering some of our best tips to get through these crazy times, and sharing what we’ve been up to lately. Of course, this conversation will be happening over a cocktail, so grab your beverage of choice, bring your questions for us, and come join in on Instagram Live!
I’m looking forward to catching up with all of you tonight at 7 pm on Instagram Live!
