Equestrian apparel has come a long way since I was a kid. Back then, riding breeches were beige and relatively boring, boots came in one color (black), and show shirts were required to be white. Fast forward a couple of decades, and it’s hard to decipher riding clothes from regular clothes (in terms of price and quality).
When I attended The Hampton Classic Horse Show this year, I perused all of the vendor’s booths. One, in particular, stood out to me—Equisite Elements of Style. Equisite’s pieces were chic and cozy yet also fun and functional. Then I met Brianne Link, the founder, who looked as stylish as ever for a long day at a horse show.
As someone who is more like a part-time equestrian these days, it’s important to me that whatever I buy to ride in can also be worn in other aspects of my life. Immediately, I knew Equisite had me covered in that department. From equestrian-inspired loungewear to lacy long-sleeve shirts professional enough for the show ring or the office, there were so many cuts and styles to choose from in a variety of trendy fall colors.

Brianne sent over some of her most sought-after pieces for me to try on and I could instantly tell what all the buzz was about. Each top offered a sleek silhouette while staying true to the design of high-tech performance fabric and the comfort and mobility you need from the items you ride in. I was impressed with the fit of Equisite’s collection, which felt more like it was made just for me and my body type and less like a regular shirt from a retailer.
In just a few short weeks, I’ve worn a variety of Equisite pieces in every aspect of my life—from the barn to brunch and from sailing to sightseeing around Long Island. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I can tell you that the Sofia sweater (seen above) and the Noelle puffer (worn in this post) have been on major repeat lately and garnered a lot of compliments. I particularly love the layering aspects of the Equisite collection and that the pieces are all things that even non-equestrians can look stylish wearing.

Whether you’re in search of your next schooling outfit to wear to the barn or just for something to put on while you work from home, Equisite’s a good choice and will keep you living and working in steil/style.
