While it’s not quite the end of the year, is it ever too early to start thinking about your goals? I put an Instagram reel together the other day, and it got me pondering some new goals I would like to implement.
Here’s my list:
Schedule/Boundaries: My schedule has been all over the place since I left my full-time job in October. While I like setting my own hours, I’m finding that I am working well into the early morning and waking up exhausted. I also realized that I have yet to put proper boundaries in place that outline what my working hours are. As we move into 2023, it feels like a good time to reset my schedule while also taking into account what’s working and what isn’t.
Supplements: I am one of those people who seem to fall off the supplement bandwagon every once in a while. I tend to be religious about taking them after I have blood work done and some deficiency is noted, and then I run out and forget to reorder and take them again. Lately, I’ve been struggling with some hormonal issues, so a supplement to help with that is high up on my list, as is getting back to taking Vitamin D and a multivitamin every day.
Healthy Snacks: For me, the problem with working from home is that it is very convenient to have a staff meeting in the kitchen, if you know what I mean. And seeing as I have a sweet tooth, that tends to end badly. Here’s to stocking up on more fruits and healthier snacks in 2023!
Better Sleep: Like my work schedule, my nighttime routine has been all over the place, too. And it is taking a toll. I frequently feel exhausted, and by mid-week, I need of a nap. Part of it is that I am running around a lot during the day and go to bed late. The other part is that when I can’t sleep, I grab my phone and start scrolling through social media, which then further messes with my sleep cycle. I am trying to set a bedtime routine that I can realistically stick to to see if that helps get me back on track.
Skincare: I am blown away by how good my skin looks these days. Like, it has never looked this good…ever! I credit the HydraFacial I got last month with resurfacing my skin and have also found incorporating serums to be helpful. In just a few short weeks, there has been such a drastic improvement that I barely wear makeup these days. Moving forward, I’m going to continue focusing on finding products that keep my skin looking and feeling its best and will be spending way less on makeup.
