It’s that time in the summer when, if you are an equestrian or equine enthusiast, you start counting down the days to the Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton, NY (or ‘The Classic,’ for those in the know). Fortunately, the wait is brief, as the show runs from Sunday, August 27 to Sunday, September 3.
If you’re a regular follower around here, you may recall that a day trip to The Classic is an annual end-of-summer tradition for me that dates back even before I returned to riding last year. And, if you really want to take a trot down memory lane, you can catch up with my recaps of the show from 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2022.
Whether you want to watch every hunter, jumper, or equitation class, cheer on your barn friends, or just peruse the incredible vendors that come to the show from all over the world, the Hampton Classic is the place to be (and a great way to close out the summer).
