In the interest of full disclosure, I have never been much of a pajama person. Secretly, I envied people who could find cute sleepwear that looked effortless and chic, but I tended to prefer a pair of boy shorts and a tank top. That all was before Brianne, the founder of Equisite Elements of Style, added some cute sleep apparel to her equestrian line.
Last month, while I prepared for my trip to Europe, I kept a mental checklist of things I needed. I find picking items up as I think of them much easier than trying to get everything in one shopping haul at the last second. And the one thing that I kept coming back to was a pair of pajamas to sleep in while I was away. Then I remembered that Equisite had recently introduced pajamas in new prints, and one of them caught my eye.
While I was out at The Hampton Classic Horse Show last month, I got to catch up with Brianne and shop her new fall/winter collection (which did not disappoint). I also got to see her pajama prints in the flesh, and let me tell you, they are even nicer in person. A few of my barn mates have been raving about all of the prints they love, but getting to see and feel everything exceeded my expectations.

I opted for the Layla Pajama Short Sleeve Shirt and Shorts in the Bit By Bit print. First off, I love the orange huge (it gives major Hermès vibes, right?). And the white piping adds an extra layer of detail to the look. But what I most love about this set (and why I have dubbed them the best pajamas…ever) is how they look and feel on. I wasn’t expecting them to feel so luxurious, but by using bamboo-infused materials, these pajamas will keep you looking and feeling cool (the material actually feels more like silk). And if this fabric is anything like the fabric Brianne uses for her riding shirts, I know these PJs are going to look brand new at all times and will be my go-to for a long time to come.
Aside from how they feel on, I almost think they are too nice to wear only for sleeping. I have been putting them on earlier and earlier each night to get a little more wear from them, but I also wore the top during a Zoom call the other day. They are seriously that nice and look more like a cute matching set than regular pajamas.
The Layla Pajamas were the perfect addition to bring along on my trip. They pack well and arrived unwrinkled, plus putting them on each night felt like a small act of self-care.
