Well, we seem to have floated through September, which, if you live in New York, perhaps you’ll relate to the word choice here. It feels like from when I returned from Europe to now, we’ve had many more days of rain than usual. But it’s the start of a new month and apparently, an upcoming week where we will see temps in the 80’s again, so who can complain, right?
This year, Halloween decorations began emerging sometime around mid-September, which I felt was a bit premature, but now I am here for it. So, bring out your life-sized skeletons and spooky ghosts, and let’s kick off October in style.
Here’s what I have on my agenda this month:
Go: I’m heading to the CSI Greenwich horse show in, you guessed it, Greenwich, Connecticut, which runs from October 5-8. I’ve never been to these show grounds before, but one of my goals this year is to attend more horse shows on the East Coast. I’m looking forward to making it to another big show before the end of the year, and I can’t wait to explore a different venue. If you’re familiar with the area, let me know some places I should check out while I’m there. I’m always on the hunt for cute coffee shops when I’m on the road!
Do: The next round of Camp Clarity kicked off, and I am so excited to be working with my business coach, Diana Davis, again. Being with a new group of people has re-energized me, and I can’t wait to see how we inspire each other in business and life. If you are a creative or any type of entrepreneur, I highly recommend working with a coach and joining groups with like-minded people you can learn from.
Try: This is a try, not because I haven’t done it before, but because I have to see if it fits into my schedule. I’m really missing my Forward__Space classes and would love to take a trip into the city to try to catch one. Perhaps, if I make it part of my October agenda post, it will be more likely to happen. Either way, I miss the community and the fun workouts.
Attend: One of my favorite October events is Lucky to Live Here’s Witches Night in Cold Spring Harbor. I went a few years ago and loved perusing all of the local shops on Main Street, while getting great discounts and participating in raffles. This year is extra special as my client, Kerriann Flanagan Brosky, an award-winning author and historian, will be selling her books at the event. Her fall book tour is also this month, where she will lecture across Long Island from her book Haunted Long Island Mysteries. If you’re looking for something fun this fall, check out her book tour, and you just might catch her at a library near you!
