The other day, I headed over to my local Target. As is always the case, I didn’t have anything particularly exciting on my wish list. I needed a couple of hooks I could use to make a “hat wall” in my living room, a few other boring household items, and that was pretty much it. Riveting, I know!
Naturally, when you first walk into the store, you are greeted by a seasonal selection of clothing, which always draws me in (whoever thought of that design is a genius). If you’ve been following along lately, you may have noticed that one color scheme in particular has been on my radar—and that would be anything in neon green. While I usually tend to favor more muted colors year-round, something about this color has me adding it to my cart every time I spot it. Before I traveled last month, I bought this crossbody bag from Athleta in, you guessed it, neon green. I love it so much that I’m still using it as my daily bag.
Well, it seems that Target must have gotten the memo on my latest obsession because the first thing I was greeted by upon entering the store was a plethora of neon green options. I tried to distract myself with more seasonally appropriate color schemes, but I kept coming back to one piece in particular—this cropped Universal Thread pullover. I mean, how can you not love it between the color and the fit? While I really didn’t need yet another sweatshirt, this one was just too good to pass up.
As I considered walking away and pretending that the whole trip was just a dream, I scooped up the sweatshirt and made my way to the checkout line before I could change my mind. I should also confess that this was not the only neon piece to come home with me. I also purchased this jacket. However, it seems as though my instincts were correct with the purchase. As soon as I wore the cropped sweatshirt and shared it on my Instagram Stories (and in this Reel), I was inundated with questions about it. So, it looks like you all liked it as much as I did.
Also, hi, my name is Vanessa, and I have an obsession with neon (and apparently Target)!
