While we may only be halfway through, this has been quite a week—but in the best way. This is the first week where I feel like things are finally coming together. For the last few months, as I’ve navigated grief and the loss of my grandmother, things have felt like a blur. I took a step back from my business over the summer, threw myself into riding, and tried to get through each day as best I could. But now that a new season has arrived, it seems like new opportunities have too, and I’m finally feeling ready for them.
This week began like any other ordinary week. But quickly, I noticed that I felt different about it. My headspace was lighter, and for the first time, I felt like I could see the path in front of me more clearly. Part of this I attribute to working with my business coach again and being amongst a group that inspires me to take action. The other part is something internal that has motivated me to look at my business and future with a new perspective.
Overall, this week has me brimming with gratitude. Here are three things I’m grateful for at the moment:
Meeting new people: To kick off the week, my business coach hosted an online mixer, and to say it lit me up would be an understatement. There were so many talented creatives in this Zoom room that it was hard not to walk away feeling inspired. I made some wonderful connections, and I just wish I could start every week like this!
Spending time outdoors: One pro about working for myself is that I get to work from home. It also can be a con when I never leave my home. The past few days have been so nice out, so I took full advantage of the semi-warm fall weather and made my sanity strolls a priority. I had forgotten how everything looks when the leaves start to change colors, so I have been feeling especially grateful that I get to end my days not only at the beach but also enjoying all of the beautiful colors around me.
Client wins: When everything comes together, it seems that everything comes together all at once. I put together an Instagram Reel for one of my clients announcing their new building opening, and it ended up being one of their top-performing posts. As a content creator, it always makes me proud when something resonates not just online…but in real life, too.
What are you grateful for this week?
