It’s fair to say that my closet now has more athleisure apparel than regular clothes. This is only a problem when I need to get dressed and go somewhere that isn’t a workout class or the barn. But since I’m in full-on hibernation mode around here, what’s the problem with owning one more athletic set?
Before my purchase back in April, I hadn’t shopped at Abercrombie & Fitch since I was in high school. But they have now become my go-to for all things athletic wear. I purchased these two pieces last spring and receive tons of compliments whenever I wear them. So, I knew I needed to order another set for the fall during their Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales.
What I love about Abercrombie is how luxurious their workout wear feels. Hey, they don’t call it the sculptLux line for nothing. While the material not only looks and feels amazing, it also wears and washes well. Plus, the fact that they have an option to get the leggings in a shorter size is great for us petite people! In the interest of full disclosure, I’m not sure I’ve come across a color or pattern that I didn’t love, but this time, I was all about the espresso brown, which seems to be having a moment in my life lately.

For this order I went with the YPB sculptLUX Squareneck Slim Tank and YPB studioSOFT 7/8-Length Legging. I usually opt for an XS in Abercrombie’s sizing, however, I waited too long to place my order and needed to go down to a size that was in stock in the leggings. Fortunately, the fit is fine, and I can hardly detect they’re a size smaller than they otherwise would have been. I debated ordering the fan favorite YPB neoKNIT Mini Crew only because I have so many sweatshirts already, but I couldn’t resist a good crew cut, and I am glad I added it to my online cart. Not only does the sweatshirt complete the look, but it’s perfectly oversized without being bulky and a great layering piece to wear after a workout.
As far as I’m concerned, Abercrombie has nailed the athleisure game. I always appreciate apparel that can pull double duty, and the tank works perfectly under a blazer while the leggings can be paired with boots and a chunky sweater for more of a day look. In the end, you can’t beat the quality and price point of this line from Abercrombie.
