Ok, it may just be a new product to me, but in case it isn’t, let me introduce you to the most amazing lip treatment from Fig. 1 Beauty. If you’re anything like me, the winter months wreak havoc on your lips (especially for me, when I’m riding outside and they’re exposed to the cold, dry air for hours at a time). And, of course, I’ve tried all different types of products to help rehydrate my lips. My go-to lately has been good old Aquaphor, which does a great job but maybe isn’t something I want to use all the time.
But last week, I went into the city for a workout class with Forward__Space (you read that right—I finally can cross that off my agenda after two months). They partnered with Fig. 1 and provided us with samples of some of their products. Naturally, I was most excited to find a full-sized lip mask in my locker.
Fig. 1 is about democratizing access to high-quality skincare and was created by skin health experts. Their refillable skincare products help reduce waste and keep costs down for consumers—what a win-win. As someone who has struggled with sensitive acne-prone skin all my life, I am very conscious about what I put on my face. And these days, I tend to go sans makeup as often as possible. So, investing in skincare products that help me put my best face forward (pun intended) is where I’m at as a 37-year-old. But with Fig. 1, the investment in quality products won’t break the bank (#score).
The two products I tried as part of their collaboration with Forward__Space were the Micellar Oil Cleansing Wipes, which dissolve within seconds by running them under water when you are done using them and are perfect to use when you’re on the go, and the ReviveLip Enzyme Mask, which has become my go-to lip product that I use constantly throughout the day. If the fig-flavored lip mask with hyaluronic acid spheres, vegan squalane, and seed oils doesn’t do it for you, the fact that you will have soft and smooth lips, thanks to the exfoliating nature of the mask, surely will. In just a few short days, I noticed a difference in my lips. They felt smoother, less chapped, and fuller and healthier than before. Plus, the fig scent makes me want to apply this mask all day, every day.
After testing out these two samples and reading more about how Fig. 1 products are derived, I’ll be taking the free skincare consultation on their website to see which other products my skin might like and benefit from. Oh, and did I mention that they also have a whole line of body products, too? As someone who perpetually runs out of body wash, I think that will be the next thing I add to my cart from the brand.
