Well, if January felt like it was 4,654,576 days long to you, you’re not alone. To me, January has always felt like the longest month ever and one that I celebrate when it comes to a close. February is when I start to emerge from my hibernation and begin to make plans. This year is no exception. While I don’t have anything particularly exciting on my agenda this month, here are a few things I hope to cross off my to-do list by the end of one of the shortest months. Oh, the irony!
Go: While January is Thyroid Disease Awareness Month, February is when I go for my annual neck ultrasound. Despite being an 11-year thyroid cancer survivor, it is a test that still makes me a little anxious each time I go. One way I deal with scanxiety is by treating myself to something I enjoy afterwards. Usually, that’s a coffee at one of my favorite places or a sanity stroll at the beach. But in any event, here’s a reminder to start making your yearly appointments with your providers, if you haven’t done so already.
Do: Doors are open for two new clients at In Steil Creative. I’m kicking off the new year by looking to work with more clients in the healthcare, nonprofit, and equestrian spaces. If this sounds like you or someone you know, reach out to schedule a complimentary consultation.
Attend: My client is hosting a reiki tea party this month that I am excited to attend. Since my grandmother passed away, I’ve felt like I have been in desperate need of some bodywork, especially as I take this time to process my grief and release a lot internally. I’m looking forward to updating you all on how the session goes after the event!
Network: While there aren’t a ton of things on my social calendar, there are a lot of networking calls on my agenda. I’ve been enjoying getting to know some of my LinkedIn connections over brief coffee chats, and they’ve proven to be useful as I work to grow my business. I would encourage you to reach out or check in with your network from time to time. You never know how you might be able to help each other or what other connections you may have in common.
What’s on your agenda this month?
