What’s something that is always in my bag? If you guessed hand sanitizer, you’d be right. But not just any sanitizing spray will do (as we all learned over the past few years). As a self-described germaphobe, I need my sanitizers to clean effectively and not leave my skin too dry, too wet, or too sticky. So, needless to say, I have tried a lot of sanitizers over the years.
While my tried and true favorite has been the Grapefruit & Lemon from Trader Joe’s, a new recent find has been from ALŌH. You may recall that there were some hand sanitizing wipes from the brand in a recent goodie bag I got at an event, which is how I got hooked. Since returning to riding, I’ve become a fan of sanitizing wipes, as the sprays just don’t cut it after a day at the barn. When I got my goodie bag and saw the wipes, I knew they were going to live in my car and all of my bags for those post-barn day outings. And they have come in handy many times (pun intended).
I first tried the Moisturizing and Skin-Softening Hand Sanitizing Wipes in the Sweet Orange Bergamot + Aloe scent, which, so far, is my favorite. They also come in Eucalyptus + Aloe and Lavender + Rosewood. What I love about these wipes is the fresh scent is not over-powering, yet they leave my skin feeling clean and soft. But the best part is that these wipes are vegan, cruelty-free, and paraben-free. It’s like treating my hands to a mini spa day each time I use them.
When I shared on Instagram about how I used the wipes after the barn, the brand sent me over their Multi-Purpose Pet Wipes for cats and dogs, as well as their Skin-Softening Hand Sanitizer spray, and a box of their individually wrapped sanitizing wipes to try. With an upcoming trip on the books, you know that these wipes will be in more than just my everyday bag.
Since I love supporting local small businesses, I looked at their website where I saw that they also give back and have partnered with the Coalition for the Homeless to help improve the well-being of the homeless population of New York City and are committed to donating 1% of their profits every quarter to support these endeavors. If you’re looking for a brand you can have clean hands and a clean mind with, this one is it!
