The new line from Manucurist could not have come out at a better time, as I’m packing for an extended trip and have been wondering what to do about my nails (especially since I have a fancy event to attend while abroad).
Last week, Manucurist dropped their Active Range line, the first all-in-one polish that has five enhancing effects, and I couldn’t have been more excited to get my hands on it. Ever since trying their Green Flash at-home gel manicure system, I won’t use anything else on my nails. But with an upcoming trip on the horizon, I hadn’t quite figured out how I would be able to use my beloved polish, without taking the whole kit with me. Enter the Active Range collection. This line is somewhere between nail care and nail polish, and let me tell you, it’s exactly what the world needs. The best thing about it is that you don’t need to use it with a base coat or top coat, and there is no drying needed. When I asked the Universe what to do about my nails on my trip, this was the answer to my prayers that I was hoping for.
Before trying this line, I had purchased their fan-favorite Active Glow. It had glowing reviews online (pun intended), and was so good that I had to add myself to the waitlist for it to be restocked. I thought it would be the perfect product to use in between wearing polish–and it was. Active Glow goes on like clear polish, gives your nails a nice pinkish hue, stays on for a week, and then can be removed with Manucurist’s Green Nail Polish Remover (however, I removed it with my Ulta nail polish remover pads because they will come with me on my trip and I wanted to make sure my theory would work). If you think that Active Glow sounds amazing, the Active Range line includes two versions of their Active Glow to revive your nail’s radiance, one with raspberry extract and another with blueberry extract for a darker effect, the Active Smooth to smooth and unify your nails, the Active Bright to brighten and fortify nails, and Active Shine to illuminate and repair. Whatever care your nails need, you’ll find it with this line.

When Manucurist’s new Active Range arrived on my doorstep the day it launched, I knew I would love it. Upon opening the package, I immediately tried the Active Bright, which has lemon extract and is a shiny polish with a Mother of Pearl finish. It was so good that I packed it in my toiletry bag on the spot because it instantly made the cut to come on my trip with me.

After wearing the Active Bright, I tried the Active Smooth with Castor Oil fibers, a light peach color that almost looks like nothing is on your nails. I knew I was going to pack two polishes from this line with me, and it looks like this will be the second one I take for my weeks-long trip. If you’re looking for a subtle, clean nail effect, this is it (think of it like the no makeup, makeup look).
The best part about this line is that it is simple to apply and remove. When I was thinking about what to do about my nails, I didn’t want to have to find a place to get a manicure, and I also didn’t want to pack a whole slew of products with me. The line has a clean formula with AHAs, vitamins, and botanical extracts, so I don’t have to feel guilty about always having something on my nails. And the formula is buildable, depending on the coverage you are looking for (but I always opt for two coats).
Now that my nail polish needs for my trip are behind me, and my Manucurist Active Range is all packed, it’s almost time to say Bon Voyage! But not before I let you know that you can use my code NAILSOFSTEIL to get 15% off your Manucurist purchase.
