When I was thinking about what to pack for an extended trip to Europe, I tried to remember all of the beauty and makeup products I used daily and anticipate things I would be likely to need while away for that length of time (you know, practical things like Band-Aids, my Caudalie mask, and enough thyroid meds). But I also thought about nail polish, and, more specifically, what I would do with my nails on the trip. Thankfully, I found Manucurist a while back and fell in love with their products (especially their at-home gel manicure system). Fortunately for me, they recently released their new Active Range collection, which was just what I needed for my trip.
The all-in-one (meaning no need to bring a base coat or top coat) Active Range line of polishes made traveling and being able to do my nails away from home possible. I successfully tried all five polishes in the line before I left home, and decided to take the Active Smooth and Active Bright with me. I would have also taken the Active Glow, but I couldn’t squeeze one more thing in my already over-packed bags.
The Active Smooth offers a natural pinkish hue and is perfect for everyday wear. It was my go-to polish while I was away. It gave muted French manicure vibes and kept my nails looking radiant. I switched to the Active Bright polish to attend a wedding. The subtle hint of illumination made it ideal for a more elevated event.
Each time, the polish lasted about a week on my nails and came off easily with the help of my individually packaged Ulta nail polish remover pads. I normally would use Manucurist’s Green Flash Nail Polish Remover, but I didn’t want to pack a full-size bottle with me and opted to use the remover packets from Ulta instead. They did the job to take the polish off, and Manucurist’s Active Smooth and Active Bright did their jobs and kept my nails looking healthy underneath. This was the first time I had gone on a trip and not come home with chipped and damaged-looking nails.
Now that I have traveled with this product and seen how easy it is to do my nails while I’m away, I can’t imagine using anything else. I love how effortless this line is and how it gives my nails a hint of color while working to brighten and strengthen them at the same time.
