I will need July to slow down a bit right about now. As much as I love celebrating the Fourth of July, it starts to feel like the summer moves at warped speed after the holiday…and I’m not ready for it. While I’m still riding a high from all of the fun activities I had on my agenda over the long weekend, I’m also looking forward to some upcoming events I have happening later this month—and something that just arrived (seen above) that I’m excited to share a little more about in this post!
Go: This weekend, I’m heading to Southampton for an SLT Pilates workout. While I always love attending a workout class (especially one in the Hamptons), this one is hosted by someone I connected with through Instagram, and it will be the first time we meet IRL (in real life). After more than a decade of blogging, getting to meet new people and connect with them through things I care about still brings me so much joy and is a big part of why I love this community.
Coming Soon: I finally did something I had wanted to do for a while—I created “merch” for Living in Steil! This has been a dream project of mine for quite some time, but to be honest, I wasn’t sure how to make it a reality. So, I did what most entrepreneurs do, and just got started. Since I love a good workout look, I decided to start there and created a cropped t-shirt that will be the perfect summer accessory. The material is super soft, and it’s a great piece to wear over a sports bra to a workout class, if I do say so myself. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen the top make a guest appearance on my Stories. But if not, you’ll soon be able to get your hands on your own Not Your Average Style t-shirt.
Community: I recently created a training course on finding your niche for The Social Equestrian, a new platform that is soft launching today, and seeks to connect brands and riders in the equestrian community. I was excited to be asked to participate in this launch and to offer some of my wisdom to other bloggers and influencers looking to grow their social media following or create their own business. I’ll be sharing a discount code soon for equestrians who want to join the community, so stay tuned!
Listen: Even though I’m no longer a caregiver, sharing my story is still important to me. So, when my client, Nicole Glassman, a holistic nutritionist in New York City, asked me to come onto her Mindful Chats podcast to talk about my relationship to caregiving and to offer some of my self-care tips to her audience, I was hopeful that my story could help other people and make them feel less alone. The episode drops today, and you can listen to it here.
What’s on your agenda this month?
