This weekend was an amazing blend of community, connection, and classes—workout classes, of course. On Saturday, I drove out to East Hampton to attend a Pilates class hosted by Paula Sanders, the founder of World’s Your Oysta. If you’re passionate about health, wellness, and self-care, or like me, want to know about all of the latest skincare and beauty products, tune in to her podcast for insider tips on her #HotRichAuntieApproved favorites.
I’ve been following Paula on Instagram for a while and I listen to her podcast regularly, but we had never met in person. So, I was excited to snag a spot at her first in-person event, Pilates at SLT. Even though it’s been a while since I’ve worked out on a Megaformer, and I attended a Forward__Space class right before her event, it was incredible to finally meet her in person, work out together, and connect with others in her community.

Before class began, we changed into workout sets from Seaav, a coastal activewear brand made with the smallest environmental footprint and the comfiest, most sustainable materials. Their female-founded company donates one percent of their profits to coral planting (plus every item removes one pound of waste from our shorelines). I wore their White V-neck top and White Biker Shorts in XS, and they fit perfectly and felt incredibly comfortable. They will definitely be part of my workout attire from now on.

The class was taught by Taylor Pearl, and if the name sounds familiar, it’s because I’ve taken other classes out East with her in the past. Taylor is one of my favorite people to take a class with, and she led us through a 50-minute workout that had every muscle in my body shaking by the time we were done.

After class, we received goodie bags filled with Paula’s picks, and let me tell you, everything in there was amazing. I had a chance to chat with the founders of Meadow and Bark, a Long Beach-based skin and suncare brand, who were in attendance about their Mineral Shimmer Sunscreen that was in the bag and I am looking forward to trying it out the next time I go to the barn or the beach.

As soon as I got home, I wasted no time testing things out in my goodie bag, and I can already tell you that the Abundance Plumping PhytoCeramide Cleanser from Motif is my new favorite. I also can’t wait to try the Gua Sha Cryo Sticks from SkinByVee (and watch Paula’s tutorial on her Instagram page to get me started), and the Cowboy Colostrum sounds like a product that could be a valuable addition to my wellness routine.

This was such a fun event to attend, and I love that there were so many like-minded people in the room to share and learn from. Connecting with other female founders in the wellness space is truly inspiring, and I’m grateful to Paula for inviting me to her event and for sharing her favorite products with us all.
