When it comes to working out, I’m always up for trying something new. I have seen a lot of people on Instagram raving about Pvolve, a patented resistance-based workout, and their method of training based on low-impact movement and clinically backed studies to give you proven results. So, when I was invited by some members of Meta and Instagram to come to an event they were hosting and try the workout at Post House in Sag Harbor, I was more than game.

Until my class the other day, I hadn’t experienced Post House yet. This new space gives clients access to private training sessions, pilates, and group workout classes in the heart of the Hamptons. The open and airy studio is well-appointed and inviting, the classes have great music, and overall, it has a nice vibe. I had wanted to pop in, so I’m glad this Pvolve class was at Post House and I could check it out.

If you’re reading this and thinking, “Ok, but what kind of workout is Pvolve?” think of Jennifer Aniston, and if the first thing that comes to mind is how toned her physique is, Pvolve is for you (Jen joined Pvolve’s founder Rachel Katzman in the company in 2023 after finding success herself with the method). Pvolve is the leader in functional fitness, and one class with them proves why.

Since this was my first class, it took a minute to get used to the equipment and routines, which are all designed to tone, strengthen, and sculpt. And while it may look easy at first glance, that P.ball and P.band were no joke. Our trainer, Melanie, first got us acquainted with the Precision Mat. It’s numbered and helps you position your feet during the workout. After that, we got started with the P.band, which is their patented resistance tool for deep upper body activation. The first couple of reps with this band felt great…and then my arms felt like they were on fire. By the time we were done using the P.band, I was ready to give my arms a break as we moved on to use the P.ball. The P.ball helps strengthen your inner thighs and glutes and improves hip flexibility. As an equestrian who struggles with all three, this piece of equipment is amazing (and a definite must-have for any equestrian out there). I loved how deep of a workout you could get with the P.ball, and that depending on its placement and how tight you make the straps around your legs, you could modify the intensity. After we used the P.ball, my entire body felt like it was on fire (but in the best way possible). I don’t think I’ve ever gotten that sweaty doing a low-impact cardio class. It felt like every movement used all of my muscles to complete it. Now that’s a workout!
After class, we got to sip on freshly made smoothies blended with vegan protein powder from Form Nutrition to cool off, and we received our goodie bags, which were filled with many incredible products. My beloved LivOn Labs Vitamin C supplements were on hand, and you could even get a B12 shot and snack on some Cob popcorn before enjoying the rest of your day in Sag Harbor.

I wasted no time going through my goodie bag, which had products from Saie Beauty (I’ve been using their tinted moisturizer for over a year and love it), an embroidered “Hamptons” hat, a Stanley water bottle, socks from Meta, a P.band and a heavy ankle band from Pvolve, a hair and body mist kit from Kopari Beauty, and a custom candle monogrammed with my initials from Taja Collection. The straw-embroidered Pvolve bag that everything came in was also a nice touch.
This event reminded me why I enjoy blogging and social media so much. I got invited to it from a cold DM on Instagram from someone who worked at Meta. I immediately responded, and we moved the conversation about the event over to email. I’ve been blogging and sharing my life as a thyroid cancer survivor, former caregiver, equestrian, and entrepreneur on Instagram for over a decade now, and I’m grateful to have made so many real connections on the platform. When I started my blog in 2014, it was to share my story as a millennial cancer survivor. But as I evolved, so did my site and social media presence. If you’ve been following along, you may have noticed that my blog and Instagram feed is not a highlight reel. It is my actual life. I don’t gatekeep, I share all of the products I have tried and loved with you. And I don’t just share my wins. There have been plenty of failures and missteps along the way, and you all have a front-row seat to them. Starting my blog was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. But having my story and lived experiences resonate with so many of you is what makes it truly meaningful.

Attending an event with Meta and getting to share why I love Instagram so much and how it has helped me as a blogger and entrepreneur was impactful. You never know who you can reach or connect with on the platform, so here’s your reminder to be authentic. That next opportunity you’ve been waiting for or person you’ve wanted to connect with might just slide into your DM’s!
Thanks for having me, Post House, Pvolve, and Meta!
