It’s hard to believe that there are only a couple more weeks left of summer (okay, at least unofficially). We’ve had some sweltering and humid days this summer and some pretty chilly days, but I swear, my air conditioner is counting down the days until it can be retired for the season.
Here’s how I’ve been occupying my time these days:

It Ends With Us: I saw It Ends With Us last week. It wasn’t initially on my agenda, but I read the book by Colleen Hoover a few years ago and enjoyed it, so when a friend said she wanted to see the movie, we made it a reality. If you haven’t read the book, I highly recommend adding it to your summer reading list. And, if you have read it, you won’t be too surprised by the movie. That’s all I’ll say so I don’t give anything away. The book’s sequel, It Starts With Us, has been sitting on my desk waiting for me to read it for a while, so seeing the movie has now made me more inclined to start it.

Brunch: There’s nothing better than heading to my favorite coffee spot for a late brunch before I start my workday. My go-to order is an iced cappuccino and a chocolate croissant, although sometimes I opt for an egg and cheese on a plain croissant.

New Beach Cover-Up: I have been needing a new beach cover-up for a while, so when I spotted this Tahari one on a recent shopping trip, I immediately grabbed it. The chocolate brown color has quickly become one of my favorite shades, especially in the summer, and I love that it has more of a relaxed fit.

Pickleball Time: I have to say, I have not jumped on the pickleball bandwagon, and I still would prefer to play tennis. But my friend has a set of paddles and a nice court by her house, so once in a while, we head out for a game. I have no clue what the rules are or where I’m supposed to serve from, but it’s been fun to try something new. And, I will say, the paddles are way cuter than tennis rackets, so that’s a plus!
