What’s a birthday without a little retail therapy? I couldn’t resist diving into Loft’s recent 50% off sale, using it as the perfect excuse to treat myself—and spend a little of that birthday cash they sent my way! Let’s take a look at what I added to my wardrobe.
First up, this stunning Foiled Satin Pleated Midi. Can you believe I hardly had any skirts in my closet…until now? I’m usually not one for skirts, but something about this caught my eye, and I knew I’d regret not snatching it up. I ordered the petite version, and it’s exactly the timeless, shimmery piece I’ll be reaching for during the holidays. The soft silver hue is perfect for the season, though I’d recommend sizing up. However, I wasted no time debuting this skirt and ended up wearing it to my birthday dinner last week at Oheka Castle.
Next, say hello to this Pebbled Faux Leather Moto Jacket—my new favorite for adding a little edge to any outfit. I got it to pair with the pleated midi skirt, and they make an unexpectedly chic combo. Despite reviews suggesting it runs large, I found it pretty snug (especially if you plan to layer), so consider sizing up one or even two sizes, if you want extra room. After a bit of trial and error, I ended up with one size larger than what I had initially ordered, and now it’s the perfect go-to jacket for pairing with leggings and jeans all winter.
Finally, my leather obsession continued with this Faux Leather Midi Wrap Skirt in a rich iced espresso hue. I spotted it on Instagram, and it was love at first scroll. I ordered the petite XXS, and unfortunately, it was way too tight. By the time I went to swap this skirt out at my local Loft store for a larger size, it was sold out…everywhere. So, while I adore its quality and color, it doesn’t look like this skirt will be making its way to my closet after all. If you love this look and are fortunate enough to find this skirt in stock somewhere, be aware that it has a high slit and the fabric has little give.
