If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw that I spent the weekend in New York City, taking in all the holiday sights. Among the attractions I wanted to see, one place stood out for obvious reasons—the Louis Vuitton store located at 6 E 57th Street.
The iconic flagship location is currently closed for multi-year renovations, but that didn’t stop the team at Louis Vuitton from getting creative and wrapping the outside of the 19-story facade in a design reminiscent of their monogrammed trunks. Naturally, photos and videos of the exterior have been circulating on social media, prompting me to take the train to the city to see it for myself.

As if the outside isn’t impressive enough (visible from several blocks away), Louis Vuitton has a pop-up space located directly across the street featuring five incredible floors of luxury fashion. From the breathtaking installations that greet you in the soaring atrium to the meticulously curated collections on each floor, I highly recommend heading inside the store.

However, the real pièce de résistance of the entire experience is their newly opened café on the fourth floor. Unfortunately, securing a reservation seems hard to come by (their online reservation system had nothing available for the foreseeable future), but they do accept walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis. When I visited, the wait to get into the café without a reservation was over two hours. If you’re fortunate enough to snag a reservation or willing to endure the wait, you’ll find things like a Crisp Monogram Waffle or Truffle Eggs ‘Á La Coque’ on the menu alongside various other decadent appetizers, entrees, and desserts. They also have an extensive coffee and drink menu.

Even if you can’t get into the café, you can still indulge your sweet tooth by visiting their chocolate shop on the fourth floor. Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric offers a range of signature bars and specialty chocolates handcrafted by the renowned chef and his team. From custom chocolate bars featuring the LV logo to unique creations like Vivienne Sur Malle—a figure made from an assortment of milk and dark chocolate filled with hazelnut spread—this shop is sure to satisfy any chocolate craving.

From the moment you step into the store on the first floor, you’ll be immersed in a vision that merges Louis Vuitton’s heritage with a display that reflects the essence of New York City. Each floor reveals something new and exciting, so be sure to keep your eyes open as you explore.
