Lately, each season has me swooning over a new color, and this fall was no exception. I am clearly in my brown era and love everything in different shades of the hue. So, when I saw an ombré manicure using a few of my favorite nail polish colors from Manucurist, my go-to nail system, I knew I needed to recreate the look myself.
If you recall, I did a similar look over the summer with much brighter colors. Luckily, the brown tones are easier to work with and resulted in significantly less cleanup, making this my new favorite look for the winter months.

To achieve this look, I used colors from Manucurist’s Green Line, staring with Orme, a light brown, as my base. I then layered on gradually darker brown shades, Chestnut and Clove, by dabbing a bit of polish on a makeup sponge. Once the base layer was dry, I took the sponge and started dabbing the colors on the middle of my nails. The beauty of creating an ombré look is that it doesn’t have to be perfect. I’ve found that less is more when it comes to achieving this effect; just the right amount of color and texture is key. The trick is to dab a small amount on each nail and then let it dry. If you apply too much polish, your nails can dry with a rough finish.

After applying the base coat and creating the ombré effect, I used the Green Sunshine Top Coat from Manucurist and finished it off with their Drying Drops to help my nails set even faster.
Manucurist’s Green Line is my absolute favorite because it offers a gel-like manicure without the need to stop and dry your nails in between each step. Plus, the polish is vegan and plant-based, making it a better option for your nails.
